Here’s how you do it–
Happy holidays!!
Cresting Mace Saddle, the high point of the loop around[...]
Skiing the Pearl Couloir on Cathedral Peak.
We hooked up with a gang of friends from town and headed up to Cathedral Lake. Our goal was the Pearl Couloir of Cathedral, an area classic and sweet objective by itself. At the top of the couloir however, Christy and I would continue on up and over to Cathedral's true summit, and ski it's Southeast Face.
The Pearl Pass area was a bit far from the truck so we opted to pick our tree from a different location that was easier to get it out from.
Considering a tree that size costs about $200 if we bought it from the local guy, the little adventure is as much a fun outing as it is just being a smart shopper.
Randy, I don’t recall seeing your name in the Hardrock lottery results. Did I miss something? I opted to pass on it this year.
Thx Fry. It’s as much about getting the tree as it is about getting all bundled up in your winter stuff for the outing. At least that’s the case w Christy. Hoping CR is a blast.
