A presentation and Q&A with Reinhold Messner on alpinism as a way of life at the Aspen Institute

Reinhold Messner was in Aspen recently and presented to a sold-out audience at the Aspen Institute. It was amazing to see the legendary alpinist in person and speak about various topics from climbing to life as a whole.

The presentation began with an introduction by Jerry Murdock of the Murdock Mind, Body, Spirit series at 13:45. That was followed by Reinhold Messner’s presentation at 16:30. After his talk, at 45 minutes, he sat down with Steph Davis for a Q & A that also included some audience questions.

There are countless incredible bits of wisdom offered that both climbers and non-climbers alike would appreciate hearing from this legendary climber.
