Route: Northeast Face
Team: Ted, Chris Davenport
A few days after skiing Snowmass Mountain, Dav called and we were off to Evans. Even though this was another repeat of a 14er that I had already skied, I knew it would be fun. Anytime I can get out and up on a summit with friends is always a good day. In this case, just like my solo day here in 2005 we skied the Northeast Ridge, but unlike last year, we did it in reverse. We drove to the summit, skied, and then hiked back up.
Spring ’06 was winding down— Chris had hit nearly all of the skiable lines on the 14ers, and as we drove home, we discussed what we might still be able to get before summer. He wanted Holy Cross, and I was aiming for South Maroon Peak.
