While we’re waiting for the snow to arrive, I wanted to pass along a cool video by Jordan Manley on the sailboat skiing adventures in NW Iceland offered by Borea Adventures.
Iceland: A Skier’s Journey EP3 S3 from ARC’TERYX on Vimeo.
Runar, one of the two owners of the Aurora and the ski guide, was actually involved in the Global Extremes production ten years ago and we’ve always stayed in touch. He bought the sailboat in 2006, and Christy, myself, and a small group of crazy Icelandic friends joined him on a sailboat/ski adventure north of the Arctic Circle the following spring.
Give Borea Adventures a look. They offer an incredible experience and a very well run trip.

Picking mussels for dinner, Christy’s smile says it all.

Runar, and Siggi up at the bow.

We didn’t see any trolls or elves, but sure came home with a lot of memories.
