Mikaela Schiffrin, 18 years old and from Colorado, finished in 9th as the top US woman.
The seasons have been slow to change and we haven’t been out for too many winter adventures yet. The Women’s World Cup did come through town last weekend, so I thought I’d share some photos from the first day’s giant slalom race, which saw beautiful weather and really good snow. They’re incredibly impressive to watch. Full results can be seen here.
Last year’s 3rd place finisher, Julia Mancuso, finished 15th today.
