Christy and I returned to run the Bear 100 again last weekend. I guess we’re just gluttons for punishment. We gave it our best and finished the 100 mile course with 23,000 feet of elevation gain in respectable times, though we were both a bit slower compared to last year. Buckskin Pass The summer wouldn’t be complete without getting out on the Four Pass Loop. There was actually a good amount of snow on the peaks after a recent round of cold, bad weather– kind of unusual for this time of year. It sure made for a pretty day and a great run. (more…)

We wanted to go climb a mountain this past weekend, and we were unsure of where to go. We were looking for something that was tall, nearby, and was a summit we hadn’t yet climbed. It was actually kind of hard to find a mountain that fit that description.
