Last year, I had the opportunity to be a part of an incredible mentorship program for local 6th graders at the Aspen Middle School. I was approached by an impressive 11-year old girl who asked if I would be willing to participate in the program as her mentor for ski mountaineering.

The mentorship project was a huge success for us both, teaching us about reaching new heights, culminating in her first ski of a Colorado 14er, and growing into a lasting friendship.
