Ashcroft
After ringing in the new year, we decided to head out on a ski tour to Ashcroft, a favorite zone near Aspen.
Mount Mamma – 13,646 ft.
A spring ski descent of Mount Mamma, 13,646 ft., in the Sawatch Range west of the 14er Mount Antero.
Otztal Traverse
A six-day hut and ski traverse through the Otztal region of the Tyrloean Alps.
Mount Sherman
A 2019 ski descent of the South Slopes of Mount Sherman, the third 14er that Christy and Elsie Weiss have skied together.
Bella Coola
A group of us were lucky enough to have had an opportunity to ski out of Bella Coola for a few days. Because it’s so inaccessible, the only practical way to get up into these mountains is to use Bella Coola Heli Sports.
Winter Ski Touring
Snow has been falling steadily all season. The backcountry has been slowly filling in and we’ve been getting out on some of our favorite winter ski tours when we can.
Tagert Hut Christmas
Our annual Christmas Eve Hut Trip, now in its 9th year, was to Tagert Hut. Five of us made the trip up to celebrate the holiday and do a little skiing on Christmas morning.
