With an unexpected day free before we embark on our Bugaboos to Rogers Pass traverse, I thought I’d post a few pics from the first leg of the Canada trip, from a couple of days in the Lake Louise area and the Icefields of the Rockies. It was still winter up there and we were loving it.

We escaped the holiday season craziness in Aspen and headed up to Tagert Hut for Christmas Eve, up in Pearl Basin above Ashcroft.
On Easter Sunday, we skied a line off of a local unnamed summit that neither Christy nor I have been to before. Like a lot of 13ers in the state, this 13,500+ foot summit has never been given an official name.

Tough life in Canada, eh?
FYI – still snowing here and I just had the best run down Walshes this morning. Untracked winter pow with no bumps. Awesome. I even hitched an extra lap with some snowsheeners up there. Classic.

Still on hold here in Golden, weather hasn’t been good enough to fly yet. Hopefully it clears up and we’ll get going soon.
